Homie is a discount brokerage marketplace that offers home sellers a way to list their home for a flat fee and save on commissions. I was a PM on the Buy-side of our business and worked with a squad dedicated to our Listings with our primary objective of driving "tour requests" (lead to visit a home with a realtor).
Ran an experiment on our Listing Details surface to add School data to Web.
Used a zip code with most of our home views and ran an A/B test as proof of concept.
Identified as a gap during competitive analysis.
Surveyed customers and recieved signal that it was desired information when looking for a home.
Our experiment showed a 14.5% lift in 'Tour Requests'(+56 showings/month) over our control group.
Expanded to all listings/zip codes and all platforms (web + app).
Additional Notes
The Team: Myself (PM), Product Designer, Tech Lead (Web)
What I did:
Discovery - Identified school data as a potential gap in our product by way of competitive/market analysis.
Customer Feedback - Launched a survey to customers who were using our listing detail page to gauge interest and why it would be helpful.
Solution Evaluation - Compared solutions (GreatSchools vs. Niche) to identify what would work for a test, and longterm, should the test be successful, with assistance from Tech Lead.
Experiment Launch - Set up the experiment with an A/B testing tool (VWO).
Evangelize Results - Reported on learning and wrote a summary/funding request for leadership post-experiment.
Below is a presentation that recaps the above information and provides a few screens of the solution.
